Getting Started Guide
Step 1: Washing your Car
Washing your car is important for several reasons:
- Appearance: Regular washing keeps your car looking clean and well-maintained. It removes dirt, dust, and grime that can accumulate on the surface, giving your car a fresh and attractive appearance.
- Protection: Washing your car helps protect its paint and clear coat. Dirt, bird droppings, and other contaminants can be acidic and can damage the paint if left on for too long. By washing your car regularly, you remove these substances and prevent potential long-term damage.
- Preservation: Washing your car helps preserve its value. Regular maintenance, including washing, can prevent rust and corrosion, which can significantly decrease your car's resale value. Keeping your car clean and well-maintained shows that you care about its condition.
- Safety: A dirty car can compromise your visibility while driving. Dust and dirt on the windows and mirrors can obstruct your view, increasing the risk of accidents. By washing your car, you ensure clear visibility and promote safer driving.
- Longevity: A clean car is less likely to suffer from mechanical issues. Dirt and debris can accumulate in the engine bay and undercarriage, potentially leading to problems with the cooling system, electrical components, and other parts. Regular washing helps keep these areas clean, reducing the risk of malfunctions.
Overall, washing your car is not just about aesthetics but also plays a crucial role in protecting your investment, maintaining safety, and ensuring the longevity of your vehicle.
How to Wash your Car:
At Buff Bros Detail Supply we have your car wash needs covered with our Glow Wash & Wax. It pairs nicely with our wash mitt or foam cannons.
Beginner:
- Pour 1 to 2 ounces (1 to 2 cap full) of Glow Wash & Wax into an empty 5 gallon clean wash pail.
- Top it with pressurized water to create a rich foam and apply only to a cool surface. As this product has wax content, avoid washing your car in direct sunlight or when your vehicle surface is hot.
- Start washing your vehicle from the top going down. Use wash mitt, mop or soft brush to apply Wash & Wax in the car surface with agitation to break up stubborn grime.
- Immediately rinse with water to remove loose dirt, grime, and filth and wipe it dry with clean, soft microfiber towel.
Advanced:
- Pre-rinse your vehicle with water to remove heavy road grime and sediment.
- Pour Glow Wash & Wax into a high pressure foam cannon.
- Lather your vehicle completely with the foam wash. This will lubricate the paint in advance of a wipe down with a wash mitt.
- Have a second wash bucket to rinse your wash mitt to remove any sediment before returning to your soap bucket to wash down your vehicle.
